Just the title of this blog- this moment is POW. Powerful. We are in a window of change. Perhaps you are feeling the discord? Maybe there is stagnation where you want propelling? Feet dragging where they want to run? Shoes feeling heavy? Working for an outcome that just isn’t clicking? Pause. Acknowledge the now. Discord is a vibe of the moment. Instead of resisting, we acknowledge the moment’s truth and make space for evolution.
If you can: April 30 evening let there be fire and dance and RELEASE as you commune and connect with esoteric energies that guide, ancestors, earth and space energies too. May 1 feast and flower and connect with the energy and truth of your bloom. As always, accessibility is everything – adjust the practice to your capacity, even minor acknowledgments hold great meaning.
Change windows are full of the awkward, acknowledging the transition energy is a great way to move more smoothly forward. We lean in to the Divine timing of our environment, and in so doing we are granted rebirth in the new energy. Releasing the discord and reconnecting afresh.
This moon is also known as the egg laying moon, budding moon, or planting moon. Ah, those descriptions feel a bit like a deep breath, don’t they? I have an actual physical breath every time I review the moon names. Take a deep one now as you see again: egg laying, budding, planting, flower moon. This moment calls for a softening, a gentleness with self and others, an intentional turning in to guarantee an intentional bloom without. A flower doesn’t strain to grow, growth is its natural course, as it is yours.

The release work: Give yourself gentle music, move your body and connect your consciousness with the falling away of the hidden unhelpful. Scorpio moon often pulls closeted skeletons into view- dance with them, they have been part of you and you have come this far. Talk to the ancestors as you call out that you are ready to let go of the buried deep hurt, the trauma, past decisions no longer relevant. What was this past flower version of you? Thank what has served you and acknowledge what is no longer needed or true. Are you scattering seeds of energy or being intentional in seed spacing and selective of what grows where? Pause. Within the quietude, the soft and gentle dance and in the taking up of space, you may refocus and refresh your growth. You are not defined by what has been, you are a flower allowing the falling of its petals so you may cycle anew- go back to soil and be reenriched by the minerals and grow with new power and place and perspective.
“A rose, bent by wind and pricked by thorns, yet still with its heart turned upwards.” -Huna

The Bloom: Get a notebook and some fun pens. Draw yourself as a flower. On each petal write a word that is the energy you mean to exude as you blossom in this moment in this world. Make sure to draw some earth for your roots to grow in. Breathe in the truth of your beauty, as the truth in all that blooms in this beautiful mother earth.
Now, put the work in your body. Take a deep breath to feel how your roots grow deep into the soil, holding you securely as you open your heart for sun. Open your arms and tip your chest and chin upward, feel Divine love and your heart chakra pink and gold, an open channel with love flowing inward and shining out.
Moon work: Sit in her light and talk to her. Honor your transition, the petals that have fallen away as the world changes and priorities shift. Feel her shine on your body, let her light grow yours. Move forward with renewed energy and focus. Gently guided, gently held, gently growing into an intentional bud of beauty that will blossom petals of truth and import.
