Full moon is coming… can you feel it? I totally can. We are in the power window. This moon is named for the antler growth on bucks, it’s also sometimes called Thunder moon because of thunder storms and honestly I’m feeling moved by all of that too. I am motivated to be strong as a buck and grow my big glorious antlers. My antlers will help me stand in my personal power and protect my space and stand strong in my convictions. Thunderstorm moon is giving:
They told her “You cannot withstand the storm.” “I AM THE STORM.” energy.

Full moon is about release energy. Time to let go what doesn’t serve you and make space for what does. That also means committing (see also: upleveling or recommiting) to prioritization that is most accurate for you. When you contemplate the true/new/core truth priorities first it can make seeing the release easier.
I am constantly getting rid of things, maybe this is just because I have kids and we accumulate so much as they grow, maybe it’s because I’ve been so many sizes and shapes and had so many roles to play for years… or maybe it’s this stuff focused society and a small house. Whatever the cause, it is a process that I live with constantly. And… it continues. More items being donated constantly. Constantly. Less in my drawers and in my vision and acting as clutter because my truth is more clear every day. If it isn’t something I love and it isn’t something I need and it is taking up some of my space… it can go. BYE BYE.
So yes, I’m continuing the great house/garage purge and I suggest you do the same for you.
But what else can be released that is in the way of core priorities? Behaviors. Relationship dynamics. Relationships. Old habits. Problematic choices.
Say thank you to all that served you in its time and acknowledge your trust and freedom to move on. It’s ok if it once helped you and doesn’t anymore. Let it go with gratitude for what was and what is.
I’m called to simplify, again and again, and that’s ok. I listen again and again and I hear intuitively to simplify more. By eliminating clutter I’m also honing in on the way I want to feel more and more, and that is clean and clear and organized and strong and vital and vibrant. Repeating the work you often hear is responding to increased readiness for upleveling- it doesn’t mean that you are going nowhere, you are going further and further with each step.
Categories of life that will help you have balance: body, relationships, home, work/career/purpose (separate or together, those last three). Do you know how you want those aspects to feel? Can you sit in the feeling of those areas for a moment? Close your eyes and surround you with ideal feels for each category. **You do not need to see specifics in these categories, just feel them feeling so lovely it makes you smile.**
Ask yourself what you can release in each of those categories that moves you closer or makes you more available to the ideal you just sat with. Are there apparent obstacles? Could release of tangible items, relationships, habits, behaviors, etc. help you to remove the obstacles? Choose wisely how you spend your time and energy.
If you hear these answers intuitively listen and write them down. That is Divine guidance. Be clear with your personal release directives, write them down as a clear next step, or steps, for yourself.
Go to the moon. Stand under her light if you can and recite what you need to release. Speaking aloud is important, basking in her light and just freely communicating is helpful, transformative even. Command help from earth energy, from guides and ancestors and whatever esoteric energy is for you to command.
Some of what I must release is entrenched behavior. Some is old stuff tied to aspirations of yore. It won’t be easy to let it go. But my want is great and my vision clear so the rest is about leaning into the functional tools. If you hear intuitive guidance on functional tools, that too is DIVINE GUIDANCE. Trust and follow that guidance and it will empower louder intuitive voice and authentic connections. Write it down.
Functional tools: Make yourself a moonth promise (from this full moon to next full moon) to release what you’ve said you would and find practical ways to remind yourself that promise. This will help solidify new habit, or in this case, the release of habit.
I will be using the name “Thunder Buck Moon Releases, July 10- Aug 9” atop my notebook paper for this work. I will keep the list instead of burning it, with intention to burn next full moon, and I will use the physical paper as a reminder of my focus and choices. Additionally, I will utilize the empowerment mantra “I am the storm”. Having something I can quickly say to fortify myself when I’m about to do something I swore I’d release helps me tremendously. The visual of the moon helps me too, as it diminishes in the sky so does what I released to it. If these things will help you too, do them. If you imagine greater ways to help yourself, do those.

**As always, accessibility is everything, so if you cannot go out but instead lie on a bed and do release rambling without any of the rest of ceremony or writing or what-have-you I promise it will still have a helpful life impact. This practice is all about aligning your life work with lunar phases and there are so many ways to do that. Do what you can when you can and it will empower you to do more when you can do more. And do not forget that the power window (three days on either side of peak moon) is a great time to do the work, so you can break it into parts if that makes it more achievable. Enjoy the work.
